As BCD expands its local presence throughout the APAC region, we are continuing to develop strategic partnerships with the region’s leading software companies that are seeking purpose-built video data infrastructure solutions to support their demanding applications, as well as the technical expertise to provide guidance on the optimal configurations that maximize the performance of their software.
The most recent addition to our network of strategic partners in the APAC region is icetana, an Australian-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company that provides video analytics solutions designed to automatically identify anomalous actions in real-time for large-scale surveillance networks.
What’s unique about icetana’s software is that it uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to learn and filter out routine motion while only showing anomalous or unusual behavior. This allows operators to focus on events that matter and gives them the ability to respond to both precursor activities and incidents in real-time.
Currently, icetana has an installed base of more than 14,000 camera feeds using active AI analytics to deliver operators with real-time response capability to some of the largest security operations centers in the world. But one challenge icetana faced was finding a hardware partner that had the capabilities to both support and maximize the performance of its video analytics software—a challenge that BCD was able to help them overcome.
“BCD delivered a test environment within weeks of our initial engagement and provided us with invaluable advice on hardware configurations to maximize our video analytics performance. Working with BCD to deliver our unique anomaly detection software to new clients has been an absolute pleasure.”
Matt Macfarlane, CEO and Managing Director of icetana
BCD’s Managing Director of APAC, Andrew Hubble, noted that the tailored and purpose-built solutions BCD offers to its customers and software partners, like icetana, is what distinguishes the company from any other systems builder in the smart surveillance industry.
“BCD prides itself on its ability to work with the most demanding AI and computer vision implementations our partners throw at us,” he said. “Purpose-built IP video surveillance hardware with the capacity to support this type of application is just the sort of challenge our team thrives on.”
