Business Development – Pacific Northwest

The position is remote, and the applicant would ideally travel up to 75% of the time.  All travel to be pre-approved by VP of Sales.  The region would be the US Pacific-Northwest.

The Business Development team will be managing sales and relationships with existing and new BCD integrators, consultants, end users and in some cases distributors in an assigned territory. The main role is to increase revenues and ensure regular communication with the designated Key Account Managers and the CSR team assigned to your territory.

What your day will look like:

  • Develop the assigned sales territory for company products
  • Discover and track opportunities
  • Work directly with the Key Account Managers and CSR teams for quotes and follow up
  • Visit integrators, end users, consultants and distributors in the field
  • Demo BCD technology advantages and explain our market strategy
  • Manage forecasts and achieve quotas
  • Identify customer needs, respond to RFIs, RFQs, prepare quotes and write proposals
  • Engage the Advanced Systems Group (Pre Sales Engineering) when a project has been identified and is ready for bid/procurement
  • Have a team mentality and the ability to do a “hand-off” to the PM or Advanced Systems team
  • Monitor and report satisfaction levels from customers and consultants
  • Coordinate customer and consultant training
  • Update and maintain data in CRM or other applications
  • Acquire, maintain and report adequate knowledge of product, market and competition

About you:

  • 5+ years experience in Security Industry with VMS and Access Control, CCTV or equivalent sales background
  • Strong network and experience working with consultants, architects, and engineers
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience doing client presentations
  • Proven sales achievement / track record
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Must have a valid passport / Driver’s license

Technical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a complex sales environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in the security industry with ability to maintain contacts at different levels
  • Must have strong time management skills and be a multitasker
  • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers, integrators, consultants
  • Able to work independently within a team environment
  • IP technology understanding and networking expertise will be considered an asset

Metrics

  • Maintain and manage NetSuite opportunities with the CSR/s and Account Managers
  • Monthly project pipeline reports to the VP of Sales
  • Quarterly project additions of $2,000,000 in new opportunities, preferably identified by end-user and channel
  • Specific accounts may be assigned to this BD position based on need and geography
  • Monthly bonus based on achieving monthly new project goals and revenue growth of assigned accounts
